Research Use Policy

Britpep supplies peptides and related compounds solely as research reagents for in-vitro laboratory and analytical work by qualified persons.

1. Permitted use

• In-vitro research, assay development, analytical reference and method validation in an appropriately equipped laboratory.

2. Prohibited use

• Administration to humans or animals by any route, or human consumption in any form.
• Use as, or in the manufacture of, a medicine, food, food supplement, cosmetic or veterinary product.
• Resale or supply to individuals for personal use.

3. Our commitments

• We do not make claims of any therapeutic, health or cosmetic benefit, and we do not provide dosing, administration or preparation-for-use information.
• We do not stock any product that holds a UK marketing authorisation as a medicine, and we do not supply injection devices or consumables. [DRAFT – solicitor to confirm this wording against the final catalogue]
• Every order requires declarations of research use, age 18+ and institutional/professional status. Trade accounts are verified before first order.
• We will refuse or cancel orders, and may close accounts, where we have reason to believe products may be used outside the laboratory. We may report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.

4. Regulatory note
